leather leopard.

This is the resultant visual to the realisation that I'm spending today doing what I have occupied the main of my post-university hours with: mapping an escape route, booking meal tickets, promising myself prosperous (party) times lie ahead with the sporadic, gin-fuelled tomfoolery thrown in for good, sociable measure.

Making like the stereotypically vain, fashion blogger that I am and releasing intern application frustration unto that dslr of mine. Might as live up to something.
Shirt: charidee / old Warehouse, Skirt and Jumper: h&m, Bowler: TOPSHOP

Leather vs. leopard is a win-win ensemble. Obsessing over the two a little much often sees me mistaking one for the other i.e. this coat I'm selling - it has a LEOPARD collar, not a leather one as I have previously tweeted.

Bare with while a formulate a realistic life plan.

velvet crush.

Been meaning to post this for long ting but real life got in the way / I rarely spend my days out of my pyjamas.

A few footnotes:
why is it impossible to take decent lit photos post 4pm?
this is the only suitable place to take such shit lit photos in my house so deal with half a face / half an outfit.
I have misplaced my trustee bowler and henceforth apologise for exposing you to my crying out for a hair cut mop.
Dress and collar: TOPSHOP, Jumper: h&m

NICE DRESS THOUGH INNIT!?

NEW IN:
texture treats.

Velvet, wool, sequins and sparkles; I want to wear them all, ALL THE TIME

I have been more than a little bit norty in these past couple of weeks i.e. spending money I should be saving, on things I couldn't physically resist.

First up, I've done it; found the perfect LBD come LVD, killing two birds with one stone. I deserve a pat on the back. Clutching desperately onto the fact that technically, my student life ain't over yet (gap yah, y'know), I got this for a steal in their 20% off, student, weekend event, a while ago now; I ain't prepared to let that little luxury slip through my grasp, anytime soon. But look, its nice a pretty and velevet-y and sparkle-y. The perfect party dress, just need me some invites.
Velvet, glitter spot, skater dress: Topshop

Forever 21 are my latest proud pleasure. It is ridiculous cheap with stellar offerings. My first impression initiated thoughts of a budget UO store without the pretentious kooky bric-a-brac. Do we agree? It has taken Newcastle too long to introduce one of those to its streets, how long do we reckon it is before it gets its own F21? Another reason to move to London.
Sequin skirt: F21

Finally, h&m how I love thee. Top form they are. Countless times I have walked in and grabbed a staple that I had been longing for, to no avail. They have come up trumps too many times this season, I am somewhat anticipating the downfall. This is a cheaper and toastier version of that TOPSHOP knit that I had my literal heart set on. I bought this from h&m on Camden High St. so obvz I love it even more.
Fluffy knit: h&m

That's my lot for a while.

Another day trip to London beckons, I can't keep away.

LFW: the outfits.

I know you have all been sitting patiently, with bated breath, during my fashion week hiatus, for this very moment. What the foe did I wear? Three shirts and two kinds of leather bottoms, pretty much.

ONE. New Look Shirt, h&m, leather skirt.
TWO. Primark, sheer, snakeskin print shirt, h&m, leather skirt.
THREE & FOUR. Shirt, as above, h&m sheer shirt, Topshop, leather leggings.

It's a wrap guys; the LFW party is officially over.

I should probably go find out what's been going on in the real world.

head-to-toe h&m.

Having bummed around in vans, American Apparell hoodies and alternating my bottom half between Levi cut-offs and Topshop Pippa skinnies, I decided to make an effort today. I have also had a hair cut since I last did one of these, yeah I have.

The title is a trick as its not one hundred per cent valid- I wore shoes from New Look but its a decent effort if I do say so myself. I've always found h&m hit and miss - some seasons they get right on it, others their collections just seem a bit.. off. Do you know what I'm saying? Or is that just me?

I take that all back for AW11. I walked in the other day and picked out an entire outfit in just twenty minutes, all for fifty squids. I could've bought many more things but I refrained.
Everything: h&m bar collar necklace: TOPSHOP

I have wanted this leather skirt since discovering it on fashiolista (great site, check it out) and this lace top? Well it echoes Miss Chung's Madewell number dont it?

Here are my favourite items from their AW11 press day preview to whet your appetites.

Big h&m love.

NEW IN:
a mixture.

As promised. Admittedly, this set is somewhat of a contradiction of itself - hot pants and a coat? Blame it on the equally contradictory British summer weather.

If you haven't already I'd be immensely grateful if you would be so kind as to nominate me for this year's Cosmo Blog Awards (#CosmoBlogAwards), that's if you're a fan of my blog like. LANVIN LAUNCH

Jumping on the bandwagon... 20 little days.

Catering for men and women, Albert Elbaz showcases his Lanvin Heart H&M Collection. Whilst the womenswear pieces cannot be faulted with their intricately detailed, gorgeous designs, the menswear range is somewhat of a disappointment. However, having said that, what percentage of the total male cliental for H&M even knows what Lanvin is let who Lanvin is and the significance of this collaboration? Harsh, but true. I bet you anything, if you ask the average Joe they wouldn't be able to respond with even a near guess to the correct answer. It is for these reasons I ask the question; why H&M? Surley the range would be more suited to the kooky backdrop of Urban Outfitters for example hanging amongst fellow well-established designer brands? To me, H&M seems a perculiar choice of retailing platform. Nevertheless I wait in anticipation for the real deal.
