what is it about Alexa Chung?

Have a sneaky deeks inside June's VOGUE.

A light release from open exam 'stress', I was literally, genuinely buzzing when this landed on my floor circa ten minutes ago. Keen or what. But this may explain why...

big up yourself Burton.

Sarah, that is. a.k.a the creative director at Alexander McQueen. The quintessentially British fashion house excelled themselves today, not once but twice. After huge speculation surrounding the pending dress decision, preliminary rumors were confirmed; Sarah Burton was the chosen one. In a year troubled with ups and downs for the fashion house, today was a moment to triumph and celebrate what the words; Alexander McQueen stand for.

Sister Pippa Middleton followed the bride's fashionable example and opted also for McQueen.
Kate sported a second McQueen, Burton beauty for the Buckingham Palace evening 'do. Lucky gal.

All in all, a great day for British fashion. And the country of course.

going missing.

For a while.

I'm taking a break. The combo of fashion interning and 'uni work' is taking its toll so I'm listening to my mother; "if you spent as much time doing your uni work as you do on that bloody blog you'd be on a first". Not completely true but she does have a point.

When I return there will be posts a plenty, that giveaway which seems like a distant memory and maybe an extra little treat so do keep your eyes peeled.

As of two weeks today, I will be free as a bird from the clutch of exams. Gerrin'.

Why I'm telling you all this at 7am on a Saturday morning, god only knows. Have mint weekends. I'm sight-seeing London with my sister.
Must-see suggestions are muchly welcomed;
there's only so many times a girl can walk the length of Oxford St. in one week.

Keep in touch

PRESS DAY ROUND UP AW11.

Ever since I can remember, well ok for the last few weeks, at least, my social network news feeds had been inundated with #pressday trended tweets / likes / links and comments. Sitting at home, green in the face, a girl could only dream of actually being there. Thanks to an extremely last minute - I have this lovely lady to thank, fashion assistant internship, I got a glimpse into the big and scary but AMAZING world of press days.

collar c/o.

It's so friggan hot, like actual get ya legs out weather. I should be in a beer garden right about now, not doing uni work and probably not this either.

This is the collar I won last week. Snapped these in my garden, ventruing into the great outdoors.

Nar my hair isn't tied up, it is actually this short.  I was sick of failing to grow it long and luscious so I finally manned up and got the chop the other day. You wouldn't be blamed for mistaking me for a 12 year old boy.

undecided.

Meadham Kirchhoff's second, TOPSHOP collab collection hits the high-street today. I'm not sure if I'm a fan.
The boys' S/S '11, high-street offerings comprise an odd mix of metallic tinsel skirts, leopard, breton and funky dyed style-e prints with your token summer florals. Add to that novelty skeleton socks thrown in amongst it. Say what.
